Community Access Network offers same-day appointments and even walk-in care in Lynchburg, VA. We realize that your health doesn’t operate on a schedule, so we want to make sure you can come in when you need it, even on short notice. While we don’t operate a traditional urgent care center, we try our best to accommodate the needs of our community members. Both of our care centers are conveniently located in downtown Lynchburg.

What happens when you call for a same-day appointment?

When you call 434-818-7880 for a same-day appointment, we search across our list of providers who are in-office on that day to place you with the healthcare professional that will best be able to treat your illness or injury. If you call before noon, we can place you same-day. If you call after noon, we’ll offer you an appointment the next day. Note that on weekends, availability may be more limited.

For Same-Day Appointment Scheduling:

When you call, here’s what to expect:

  1. We will ask you basic identity information like your address, phone number and insurance carrier. If you don’t have insurance, that’s okay!
  2. From there, we will ask you a series of questions about your symptoms. This will help us be more prepared when you come in.

Our top priority is to make sure people who have an urgent need are seen by a doctor right away. It is possible that your appointment will be scheduled further out if you need a routine physical/annual wellness check-up, or if you need specialized care and your need is less urgent.

For Walk-In Appointments:

In the case of an emergency, always call 911 or visit the closest Emergency Department. Our neighbors are welcome to walk in for care if there’s an issue that can’t wait for a scheduled appointment. Availability for walk-in care at Community Access Network will vary based on that day’s scheduled appointments and the severity of your medical situation.
